About Cottonwood Hiking Trail
The Cottonwood Trail is a 1.4-mile loop along the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive and is a moderately difficult hike. It’s one of the 13 hiking trails within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and it takes approximately an hour and a half to hike the entire trail. There are great views overlooking the Glen Lakes and the Dune Climb. To get to the trailhead of Cottonwood, take the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive and drive just past the picnic area. There will be a parking lot adjacent to the entrance to the trail.
