Sleeping Bear Point Trail is one of the best trails for beginners! This 2.8-mile loop trail is shorter and less strenuous than others trails along the sand dunes, with great views of Lake Michigan and South Manitou Island. There is even a 0.5-mile spur hike from the trailhead with access to the beautiful sandy Lake Michigan beach!
